This isn't the big update I've mentioned before that is still under negotiation stages.
So what's changed? Three important things;
1) Fight Algorithm - the number 1 reason for negative reviews was players found their higher skilled boxers were losing to lesser fighters constantly and the balance was off. I agreed with this and it frustrated me when playing. It's been tested hundreds of times by myself and thousands by the developers. I really hope now it's balanced and makes the game far more enjoyable.
2) Coach Comments - another query raised in reviews and directly to me, coach comments were mentioned way before the fight took place, how could you ever remember? Makes perfect sense for it to exist before each fight when the player gets to make a decision on game-plan. Happy to say this now does exist.
3) Bug fix - couple of smaller bugs that have now been sorted so that players on more devices can enjoy the app.
And what's next?
The new development team have been sent a list of every update I would like to see in the game, everything from renaming achievements to wholesale adjustments to the storyline, new artwork, building fight-nights. Lots and lots and lots.
How much can be done will depend on the quote I receive from the developers, artists and animators but as long as it's reasonable we could see some big changes in the next 6 months. (hopefully sooner).
The very next step however is to make the game more accessible, this is one of the other large criticisms of the app. It's only available in English and it's not usable for the visually impaired. Both of these I hope to target very quickly after the development team and in place. I will do my best for the app to be playable in multiple languages, The Boxing Promoter has been downloaded in over 90 countries across the world, it will be tough to make the game accessible to everyone but I can at least try and convert the game into the 5/6 most commonly spoken languages in the boxing community.
I'll keep everyone updated with how things progress.
